Range will be a non issue once charging infrastructure is widely prevalent. So focus of governments / enterprise should be to roll out the infra. As for India, govt priority ought to be public transport EVification and they are on the way. First they came diesel to CNG (2000 onwards) and now EVs will replace those too. But the most remarkable thing about India which doesn’t get any mention is that the last mile connectivity (metro /station to home connectivity across _all_ major cities in India is already EV based. Mini eRickshaws (tuktuks) operating on batteries have been running for over 10 years at least, at dirt cheap rates like INR 10-20 (USD 13-25 cents) for rides upto 5-6 kms. So there’s plenty of awareness already and expect rapid uptake of bigger EVs as infra rolls out
