Perhaps you wouldn't mind if I informed you that feeding itself is not a worry for India. Not by a "country mile". India is the largest exporter of rice, largest producer of milk, tea, and either #1 or #2 producer in the world for wheat, millets, rice, fruits as well as vegetables! So while it may have been a worry in the early years after Independence those days are long gone.
