EDIT (More info):
The most compelling evidence to date is now compiled based on 10 year excavation program (from 2002–3), headed by Prof V Shinde, internationally renowned Archaeologist and Vice Chancellor, PGRI, Pune, India. The site in question, Rakhigarhi, Haryana, is 8,000 years old. It’s spread over 550 ha, which makes it double the size of the erstwhile largest site in the Indus Valley which is Mohenjo Daro. Further, based on DNA analysis on genetic material found from a couple buried at Rakhigarhi site of the Harrapa complex, the conclusion is there is no disruption in the genetic makeup from those times to modern day. Or in other words, there’s *NO GENE MIXING FROM THE STEPPE PEOPLE*. In essence, we, the peole of India, are direct descendants and a continuous line of the Harrapans. Wow, that’s mind-boggling! If anything, the minimum this concludes is the so called AIT/AIM doesn’t hold any water and should be put to bed, once and for all now.
